Hi,

Can anyone recommend a reputable training provider (ideally classroom / lab based), for learning C# as a beginner? There are numerous training providers out there but I would ideally like to go with a recommendation.

Location wise I am looking at London / South East England.

Any recommendations would be appreciated..

Thanks

A friend has previously recommended these guys http://www.develop.com/training-course/guerrilla-net[^]

I've used QA in the past and found them to be very good (it was a long time ago though!)
c# courses at qa[^]

Excellent, thanks for the response. I was already looking at QA in fact, so now you have recommended them as well means I will potentially go with them.. Cheers
I know you're asking classroom/lab based but what about Lynda[^] or Pluralsight[^]? I found those're very good. Besides reasonable subscription price(15-25$/Month)

I forgot about Pluralsight ... another colleague used them in my last contract and rated them very highly

In my prev. org. they had subscription so I was using that & it's great.
This is not classroom based, but .NET Book Zero[^] is free, and can give you a good grounding in the basics of .NET and C#.

I started from what i posted in my solution(solution 4). Very nice speaking to you Sir.
I believe a self taught programmer is the best programmer(I apologize if i said something wrong). You need to start studying very hard. Start with

CLR via C#(By Sir Jeffrey Ritcher): I believe its a tough book, but it breaks open a stagnant mind.

For ASP.NET i will suggest: ASP.NET unleashed by Sir, Stephen Walther.

Write your first program and then use ILDASM to view assembly code. Thats the best.

And:

Codeproject is the State of art online institute. Just read and practice.

Post as well as answer doubts. Enlighten and be enlightened. I believe training institutes don't help you build your own logic. In any situation you tend to think the way they guide you, which may not require that thinking.

They tend to formulate your thinking. You should think dynamically and radically.

I am not against them. Its just my point of view.

Welcome to Code Project:
Come here and chill out.

Thanks a ton
