We have an application called Network Engineer. In that application we have one functionality called MPI. It collects all the the data related to a network inventory and send it to another component in a XML. How to implement it using QTP as we are supposed to automate it from back-end?

If i get the question correct, You want to invoke the "MPI" functionality of the "Network Engineer" application using QTP?

QTP can automate both API & GUI,
Does your application has some GUI ? If not do u have API for it?
