Hi,

I am using an bank software which was develop 10 years ago.
Database is in ms sql server 2000 and this application is running on window server 2000.
Right now size of database more than 2 GB.

Since last two days i am able to create new customer account but unable to create new ledger for that. When i click on enter after entering ledger detail, it just got hang. Nothing happen after that. I did wait for an hour but nothing happen. At last i had to stop it from task manager.

Error log also not showing anything about that.

Please help me with it, if possible

What is your transaction log size and did you check sql server log

What is the sql server edition? The MSDE edition had a 2GiB limit.

Get SQLServer2008Express with Advanced Services, install it, and add .mdf and .ldf. From inside this edition it's possible to "context-menu" an outboard
scripting of what's in that database. Completely. Why not?

Have you tried to shrink database[^]?

Thanks for you comments, Problem is solved now ....
Actually this database was created 12 years ago and primary key was not assigned to tables, that's why issue occur.... :) thanks again.
