THis method has got me through writing many Excel macros...

The best way to learn how to do this type of thing in Excel is to:

1. start recording a macro
2. do the action that you want to replicate
3. stop recording a macro
4. view the code generated

Now you know how it is done and you can then modify or add to an existing macro.
