In Outlook there used to be a setting that would prevent an email from automatically displaying. I have the latest version, I think, and I can't find that setting anymore.

Do you know if it has been removed? If not, please let me know where it can be found.

What I have tried:

Tried to search the help files and found out they are unusable..

Completely off topic
The setting you are looking for is the Preview or Reading pane (depending on version)
It has not been removed
"Latest version" could still be one of many (online, desktop, OS)
In my version, it's in the View menu, Layout section - about one-third in from the left right on the ribbon
