Hey Guys,

I am trying to build an apple watch app, which will detect when the arm of the user touches the ground or the user goes towards ground.

example use case: Burpies, this is one type of excersize where a man stands up, does squats and then make a push up on the floor, i want to record the count when he goes for the push up.

First thing, is it even possible?

I think if i somehow get the watch altitude, i can detec if the watch went downwards, how can i do this?

i am very new to watch app development i am greatful for any help.

What I have tried:

i tried getting the altitude but CMSAltitude gets the altitude of the device and not the altitude of the apple watch

Isn't that a function of the accelerometer? (changes in velocity)
