How do I add an SVG file into my react folder in VS code?

So I'm trying to add some SVG photos to my React project but I'm not sure how I can add them into my file system on VS code.

I know how to render them and import them using their relative path the only thing is I'm not sure how to get them onto the project in the first place.

What I have tried:

Dragging and dropping the images into the file system.

Using the image URL and copying the file's code.
