How to install .CER file for apache ssl certificate in RHEL

Hello,
Recently I tried to install an SSL certificate for my RHEL 8 server. So, I sent.CSR file to the

Certification Authority (CA) 

an I received .cer file. Now, I am new to this so I don't know .cer file needs to be changed into a .crt file for the Linux server. or how to install this .cer file for RHEL 8. Can anyone provide me with any clue about this?
