Hey Guys,

I have thermal printer which supports ethernet connection. Currently, I'm connecting the Thermal Printer with the Laptop via USB but now I have some another requirement. So I want to connect the Thermal Printer with my Android Phone over the network and want to prints through mobile. Is it possible? If yes, please help me to solve the problem.

What I have tried:

I already tried many times via IP Address. I connected the printer with Ethernet Cable and print the test page which returns the IP Address. With the help of that IP Address, I tried to connect the mobile with printer like some laser printers. But failed to get the wanted result.

I suspect your thermal printer doesn't have enough smarts to connect to directly without a driver; you need a printer server (i.e. accessing the printer via some other connected device).

Hi Gerry,
Thanks for your revert, can you suggest me printer name which supports direct printing for print from mobile over network?

You need a printer that can connect to the "same wireless network". But that doesn't help if you're "out of range" (i.e. remote printing); then you're back to using a proxy / server (over the internet / data service / mobile service).
