How to configure my android to make the external usb camera connected to my mobile as the primary camera to be detected by all the apps?

I am trying to configure android such that instead of using the inbuilt camera, the applications use the external camera connected via a usb and otg. Can you please guide me if anyone knows the process for the query. regards Hardik Garg

What I have tried:

I have tried using the apps like webcam but they only provide the webcam access in that app only but I want to access the webcam in all the apps.

To use the external camera as the primary camera one has to change the default hardware settings in the android kernel according to me. Thus it is a valid question for this forum :-)
