How do I fix WAN networking in unity/C#?

I have tried so many packages, none of them work as WAN. They all just work as LAN and looking it up they say you need to do port-forwarding on your router and all this kind of stuff. In my mind, atleast, it's IMPOSSIBLE this is how an application like Skype works for instance, there have to be an easier way. But how?

I also want the players to host the servers themselves and can host and play at the same time. This is a must.

What I have tried:
