I have on-premise GitLab repository so i have configured vpn to access this repo. Now i want to import my this repository to Azure Git repository. I have enough credential gitlab user name and personal access token but unable to import because not found any vpn related configuration there.
Can any one help me to fix this.

What I have tried:

Import a Git repo into your project - Azure Repos | Microsoft Docs[^]
I am able to import repo using above steps if my repo is not securing by vpn.

Can't you "push" from the source, rather than trying to "pull" from Azure? (The "Manually import a repo" steps from the linked document.)

Unless the server has heavily restricted internet access, pushing from the server to Azure shouldn't need a VPN connection.

Thanks for reply, I have seen the mirroring option in GitLab which Push code to Azure, but i am looking for azure if there is any option.
I have tried "Manual Import" and its working fine but again looking for something if i can do it directly form azure devops.

I doubt such an option exists - particularly given the number of different VPN protocols which exist.

For example, in addition to the built-in Windows VPN, I currently need to have the OpenVPN client and the FortiClient client installed for connections to customer sites. And the ForiClient connections require 2FA with a code generated on an app on my phone.

If the "push" option works, why can't you use that?
