Create an entity-relationship-diagram from an existing MSSQL database

Hi forum,

I need to understand an MSSQL2014 database. What entities are related how with one another, or, the tables and foreign keys in the database.

Is there a tool included in the MSSQL 2014 Manager, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio 2008 Express or OpenOffice Base that can import said database and generate a nice graphic from it?

Or is there another tool you would recommend?

What I have tried:

I inspected the the menus in MSSQL 2014 Manager, Visual Studio Code and Visual Studio 2008 Express.

Solution 1

Not sure if it differs between SSMS versions, but if I expand a database I see a node named "Database Diagrams" where those can be added.
