Hi all,

I have been using RICHTX32.ocx for some time in my application which is not developed with languages such as C #, Visual Basic and the like but which still allows me to 'embed' Activex controls.
ActiveX controls have well-known security issues whereby their maintenance is abandoned.
Is there any alternative with which to replace in terms of functionality and integration (as if the component were native to the development environment in which it is inserted) RICHTX32?
Of course I know well that I could resort to non-integrable solutions such as RICHTX32 but I would have to give up the 'comforts' that the old Ocx offers at this time.

Many thanks
Luigi

What I have tried:

I looked for help in Microsoft documentation and various sites dedicated to development through Visual Studio but with little success.
I would naturally prefer that a possible solution is officially supported.

When I think of "heads down data entry", "rich text" does not come to mind. At any other time, "composing" takes time. In those cases, I don't see popping up WordPad as being "uncomfortable". Drinking from a cup versus a straw.
