ZIP isn't a "programming language" - it's a compression algorithm and / or the application that implements it and allows you to make your files smaller, usually for transfer or long-term storage.

DOS isn't a "programming language" either - it's a (very, very) outdated operating system that isn't in common use now, and hasn't been for over twenty years!

Professional applications are written in a variety of languages, sometimes depending on the target environment (Web based will be a Javascript front end, with C#, VB, or PHP as the back end language, spun together with HTML for example) or OS (iOS apps are pretty much all written in Objective C for example).

If you are looking for a first language to learn, I'd recommend C# - it covers a lot of environments and OSes, and it's both simple and very powerful all at the same time.
Find a local course or get a book - and do all the exercises! Ignore Youtube "tutorials", they are nearly all total rubbish, and the good ones get hidden by the preponderance of cr@p.

You did: check the tags you gave your question, they describe what you are looking at, and help us to know if we can assist or not before we read a question.

For example, a question tagged "Lisp" I won't go near; one with "SQL" or "C#" I would.
You told us you are looking at DOS and ZIP only, and asked a question about languages with no further clarification!
You can find the source code (mostly C++) for Ableton Link here: GitHub - Ableton/link: Ableton Link[^]
