Connecting navigation drawer to activities

Hello everyone, I'm very very new at app development and I'm supposed to make an app for my final year project, however, I've been stuck for days having no idea to connect one activity to the drawer navigation, I really need help because I've watched every YouTube video but couldn't find help, I have a BMI activity which I want to put in my drawer items so when I click on its name I'll be taken there, please help.

What I have tried:

i've tried watching YouTube videos and changing my activity to fragment but nothing works

Have you tried creating a "test" Navigation Drawer Activity in Android Studio to see how the drawer items respond?
