I've done quite a bit of coding, and I'm also a music composer, and I'd like to set up my catalog online for download.

After looking around, it looks like stock music sites might be coded from scratch or using a framework, or maybe customizing an existing audio hosting platform....

I know a lot of C++, I've done some PHP and MySQL in the past, and bits of other languages. I'm ready to learn whatever I need to. I just need to know what that is.

Anybody know how stock music download sites are typically set up?

Thanks in advance.

What I have tried:

I've visited a dozen stock music sites, looking for a "Powered by" line at the bottom, to get some sort of hint of how the sites are set up. No luck there.

I visited every audio hosting site I could find, but none of them look like, or have the features that the stock music sites have (like posting a watermarked file, but downloading an un-watermarked file). Also, they're branded (ex: bandcamp).

There is nothing in storing music files that is significantly different from any other type of online file storage. You need to research more general articles about creating and maintaining websites. But your question is far too broad for a quick answers forum.
