I want to develop my own payment gateway and payment processor. These will bi connected with e-commerce and Bank account simulator (bank accounts will be developed by me too).

I wand to use C# programming language (or do I need to use another programming language) to develop payment gateway and payment processor, but I don't know from where to start.

Please, anyone can explain me in short terms how does payment gateway and payment processor works together and how they are connected with bank accounts and with the e-commerce's. Also I need to know, from your perspective, how much time is necessary to develop and how hard it is?

I already have developed e-commerce web site and started to develop bank account simulator.

What you are asking for is a little too complicated for a Quick Answers forum. I've worked with eComm sites for 10 years now and I don't fully understand the boundaries between them. I would recommend you read up on the architecture and flowcharts of the whole picture from eComm to the various banks involved.
