Does update amazon RDS SSL/TLS certificates will affect my web app ?

Currently, I am not managing anything to connect rds instance with SSL/TLS certificate.
My connection string like "Data Source=mydatasource; database=dbname ; uid=connectionid ; password=password" this successfully connect my web app to rds. I wanted to ask you that
will I have to change my connection string or anything related to rds when I change my certificates?

What I have tried:

"Data Source=mydatasource; database=dbname ; uid=connectionid ; password=password".DO i need to change here?
