How to use a webform with master page

Hiii,

I create a template in master page in asp.net and i want to use this template in all the webforms of my project. But When i add new form and check the select master page option and chose this master page then a webform created with a content control. But when i start to add other control then it give some errors Can anybody plz tell me how to use masterpage with other web forms.
