you've posted a ton of questions that you could easily answer with google today. I'm not surprised you didn't get the job. No amount of us discussing specific questions you could not answer, will make you a good programmer. you need to work at it, and learn what things you need to study, from the questions you failed to answer. Being able to parrot my response to this ( blindingly obvious ) question, will not get you a job. Your lack of experience and knowledge will still be evident in the interview.
