Problem: A Change made to an SPList from ItemAdded Event Receiver not updated instantly

I am changing an SPListItem's field value from an ItemAdded event receiver, but it is reflected only after i go for a page refresh..It occurs in WSS 3.0

I know it is causing because the ItemAdded event receiver is asynchronous, and the List item's field value is updated only after the page is updated.

How can i get over this issue??

Please provide your valuable suggestions.....
