The Interop Libraries require Word to be installed. And you cannot correctly open a word document without the interop libraries. So probably not.

Google is your friend: Be nice and visit him often. He can answer questions a lot more quickly than posting them here...

A very quick search using your subject as the search term gave nearly one and a half million hits: convert doc to pdf using c - Google Search[^]
Near teh top of the list is a link to an identical question here: Convert word document to pdf without using interop dll.[^], but nearly every other link on that page will give you some information...

In future, please try to do at least basic research yourself, and not waste your time or ours.

To be fair to the OP. Your link takes you to a page with broken links and other links that require Word to be installed (against his requirement). I think it would be more helpful to direct him to a google page that says "You cannot use the Interop libraries without Office installed." And the interop libraries are required to correctly read a word document.

To be even fairer, that was written over 4 years ago, when all the links on that page worked ...
I found this page via Google and it was one of the top hits. And yet, here you are telling the asker to use Google. Your answer is very unhelpful. Google is not some magic box with answers, but instead gives you links to places like this.

Read the posting guidelines. Posters are expected to do their own research and attempt to write their own code. The OP did neither of those things. And this is not a solution - if you want to comment on a post then use the "Have a Question or Comment?" link next to it
