I have an existing sizable MDX query and need to modify it slightly without having to rewrite the entire MDX. I opened SSAS, selected my cube, right-clicked, and clicked Browse to open the MDX query editor.

There, similar to graphically building SQL in SSMS, I can graphically build a new MDX query in SSAS. What it does not allow me to do, unless there's a trick to it, is to paste in an existing MDX and click below to have the graphical construct of the query automatically displayed from the existing MDX. When I click in the bottom section, or if I click the Design Mode button to switch it to graphical mode, nothing happens.

Is there a way to generate the graphical from the text in the MDX editor in SSAS as you can with SQL in SSMS?

What I have tried:

I tried pasting an existing MDX query into the MDX text section of the MDX editor(aka Browse screen) and clicking below, hoping to generate the graphical representation of the query, but nothing happened.
