In Windows Explorer or other windows application, if you right click in an input box, a default context menu shows up which contains built-in items like 'copy', 'paste' etc. My question are:

Can we add a new item into the default context menu with a custom name.
If we add a new item, can we trigger serial actions when we clicked the new item
If we can do these, C# or C++ or C solution will be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

I have tried the shell extension solution, but it doesn't work.

Shell extensions is the way to do it. If your code does not work then edit your question and provide proper details.

C#, C++ and C are entirely different things. :-) Just telling.
