Single sign-on from MVC app using adfs

I have a project i built using MVC, i want to able to access the application via adfs authentication, i have read a couple of stuffs on how to achieve this but no joy yet!

having this error:

I haven't worked with ADFS before and the error message is not explicit enough to guide, i will appreciate any assistance.

What I have tried:

I generated machine using iis machine key tool, add the following line of codes to the config file:
