Hi!

I found FON file description here; http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/FON_File_Format

There's written structure of FON file, but not enough.

As first - there is written how are character data stored - but only for characters 1 byte wide.

How are stored 2 bytes or more wide characters?

Character 14x16 pixels is how stored?

First 16 one byte lines and then next 16 one byte lines?

Or single line two bytes and then next line two bytes?

Even I found some FON files with desription and this was on that web not written...

Can anybody explain it me?

Thank you very much.

Miro

What I have tried:

First meeting with FON file, want to use also for other platforms than Windows.

Just looking at the format you linked to, FON files are a simplistic, raster format and don't appear to support more than one byte per character. In other words, there are no characters other than 0 to 255.
