Hi!

I have a HDD, it was in NTFS, but now i can only see it as RAW. Is there any way to recover my files?

I am looking forward, for the answers!

THX!

I had a similar problem recently and got my files back by using Free data recovery software, partition manager, backup software - Eassos, Data SOS[^].

Looks like it's working, but it's really slow, anyway thanks! You saved my friends life! He has half a year science work on it.

It is necessarily slow as it has to read every block of data on the raw disk, in order to try and reconstruct both the directories and the files. Once it starts you can just leave it running, it will happily do its work unaided.

Yeah, it took 1 hour to scan 60 MB. Thanks again!

Explain your friend the reason why professionals are making backups on a regular basis.
Minimum backup is 2 backups because when you update a backup, it is not valid as long as it is not finished.
Your friend is lucky the HDD is not just broken.

Every say at end of work, I backup my work on usb HDD and while at home, I update the copy on my desktop.
So I have 2 copies physically remote from each other and another that play shuttle.

Ooops, it was on top of list :)
Any way, making backups is a timeless advice.
Note: I asked CP to make those dates darker, but I was not heard.
