How do I access the storage of a DVR system from Windows

I have a HicVision DVR running Linux 2.6.32 with 1 Dome Camera and 1 TB HDD. I would like to access its folders to access the saved captured videos to have a scheduled backup on a windows drive. The application preferably should be written in C# WPF. How do I do that?

They supplied an application that allows to remote view from any browser. Just that.
