There is no "best" language, just use the one you're most familiar with.

A bunch of 'em: English, Australian, and French.
PLus the usual culprits: C#, Javascript, a huge pile of SQL, and some JS frameworks, I believe.

It sounds silly, but ... the one you know best and are most comfortable working in. Plus Javascript, SQL, probably some JS frameworks (again, probably thE ones you are most comfortable with).

So if you are well versed in PHP, use that. If C# is your bag, it's a no brainer. Even VB will do, if you must. Provided it works as a webserver language, is supported by your hosting service, and you are proficient in it, it'll do.
Trying to use a language you aren't familiar with is going to add a large learning curve to the whole project.

Hopefully, he's figured out which languages to use in the last 5 years. :)

I missed the date - as did F-ES Sitecore - it came up on the homepage QA list, probably a spam message that wasn't let through.

I did the same earlier, but managed to delete my answer before anyone saw it.

I'm so glad it's not just me that does that :-D

It's the heat, and also the "pomroczność jasna" (Google translate it).
