SteganoDotNet: Bugfix regarding ILAsm for mono

Today I spent half a Sunday wondering why monodis (the mono diassembler) messes up the order of methods in my applications. Then I found this explanation:

Currently, Mono's ilasm does not retain the order in which methods/constructors
are defined in IL. This is because we internally use Hashtable's to store them.

Aaaaargh... I apologize for anything I said about fine monodis. When you assemble IL code with mono-ILAsm, the classes and methods can be processed in any order - and later on the disassembler will be confronted with whatever the hashtable has done to them.

As my ILFileUtility relied on the congruency of ILAsm/ILDAsm, it crashed when a mono user tried to extract hidden data from an assembly. I fixed it immediately: The methods in the disassembled carrier code are always processed on alphabetical order. You can get the new ILFileUtility from the repository:
SourceForge -> SteganoDotNet SVN -> Fixed version of ILFileUtility.cs[^]

all source files are checked into the CVS, the lists of bugs and feature request will get filled soon. The first changes will be:
- make SteganoDotNet run on Mono
- provide an easier to use framework for loss resistant audio steganography

Last night I installed SuSE Linux 9.1 on my windows laptop. Now I am here, with Mozilla running on my new Linux OS, posting a text about Linux on a windows site - what a strange day...

All I actually want to say is that you have won, all you people out there who asked me programming questions. Since last week my homepage ^ contains a FAQ section where I'll add your best questions and the answeres. Big Grin | :-D

And again: When you are finished with laughing about my English mistakes, please tell me where the biggest mistakes are... Wink | ;)

We did it too recently, installed Mandrake 10 on one of our old workstations to have another testing platform available, especially now when mono 1.0 was released. Works nice but I still wouldn't want to use it on my PCs, it's sometimes terrible to install something on it (fortunately we have a guy that's responsible for this) Smile | :)

In the forum section you mentioned that your hosting provider doesn't support PHP (or that it is expensive) - you may want to check out what http://www.pipni.cz[^] offers. It is a Czech based web hosting provider (the site is in English too) with a nice and free plan for those who want to host their own domains, I assume that you own the binary-universte.net domain. Several friends of mine host their sites and emails there too, and eventhough some small problems arise occasionally, I find it a perfect solution for a personal website.

Congratulations. I'm sure you'll find Linux a very productive environment to work in once you get settled in with it. I am a bit biased here because I write Linux articles for a living, but it is definitely a more 'free' environment in all senses of the word. Can I ask what made you try it out? I find it interesting to discover the personal reasons people come up with for running Linux.
I really enjoyed reading your work on steganography, though I might have approached some things a little differently. It certainly gave me some good ideas.

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
