Something is off with the comments left on an article that I wrote: .NET App Settings Demystified (C# & VB)[^]
I have only replied and addressed his remarks, however, his comments are very misleading for anyone reading them. I have a feeling that I am being trolled. Is it just me?

He is not a shiny new member, nor an old one either, however, this is his first post.
The code in the article is pure Dot Net Core and won't compile on .Net Framework. Same with the downloadable sample code. All comments made are in complete contradiction.
If my code is so invalid, why hasn't he given a downvote? 
This is why it feels troll-ish...

Not often you hear a complaint that a down vote wasn't given!
I can downvote you if you want to make up for it? 
He's not a new member, but he's been a lurker for a long time - he logs in pretty frequently according to his rep graph. So intentional trolling isn't likely either - they tend to downvote and complain rather than ramble on and miss the point.
I'd say just ignore it - your reply should let people know that he's confused.

He seems knowledgeable on the subject matter, but way off on the comments. A bit like a Cessna pilot flying a Space Shuttle...
So there is no confusion, I have touched the article and added clear comments on what he claims was not used. The reference material on the Option Pattern, IMHO, is well written and reinforces what I have done. I saw no need to flog a dead horse and have a dedicated section on the topic.
I'm not going to do more and will let it be.
