A true master of the guitar. I saw him and his band, (the same line up as the Ronnie Scotts DVD), back in June 2009. He played for over two hours, without a vocalist, (in fact, barely using the mic), and not once did I think: "where's the singer?". I honestly can't think of another guitarist that could do that.

Just came across this website. Tons of articles all dated today. Happy Sharer couldn't have written them all just now... Happy Sharer - The Enlightened Mindset. Archive.org doesn't give any clue that it is above board or below board. And oddly enough a search on exact titles on a few articles only shows that site. Weird.

I just have a suggestion. When sending an invoice, the due date defaults to the day's date. Unfortunately that has caused me to send off a couple of invoices with same day turn arounds attached to them.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to default the date entry field in that section it to like 30 days from todays date? Just my $0.02

You are able to change the due date to what you would like. We don't have a default due date because all businesses are different for their payment terms.

I understand what you’re saying but you *do* have a default, and it defaults to today, which is the right answer for almost nobody.
Maybe if you required someone to put in a date it wouldn’t cause issues. Or maybe I’m the only one that’s ever fired off an invoice with the default date, but I doubt it.
Anyway, thanks for hearing me out regardless.

I mean I agree with you, the field should be defaulted to empty and set to be required. Their response seemed to say they didn't care about your point.

The default should be set by a user configured parameter, because all business are different and todays date could not be more incorrect!

What invoicing software is this? I'm not a fan of QuickBooks Online any more (used to be great though), but even they will default the due date for an invoice based on the payment terms you set beforehand (NET 15, NET, 30, etc.) and you can have a default payment term too.

I have sent a number of such missives and am always surprised it is not common or required practice for recipients to take such as an opportunity to improve their product. Though on occasion I have been informed my suggestions "Will be forwarded to the engineering department" even re/ hardware .

Sometimes they are, but unless you are an event organizer, you haven't made suggestions for the platform I work on. I always appreciate the effort to improve the tools instead of just whining about them publicly

The person you spoke with does probably does know their product in detail or not looking at the same view of the interface you are. Either way doomed to failure. Don't know how many invoices you submit per month but write your own form in word. I did it for years and worked just fine. but I only did about 3 a month.

I was dealing with an online tracking system and while I was at a meeting I pointed out that the various screens that I could see were all on the map page.
I asked them why and they said its the primary page.
So I asked them why the login page directed me to the main Billing page and I had to click 3 times to get the their so-called main page - every single time!
Room got real quiet...
People can be very blind to the defects in their software.

Reminds me of the time I complained about the text on disabled buttons in a UI being the same color as the button (rendering the text invisible). I was told they wouldn't fix it and that I should change my [Windows] color scheme.... (affecting all my apps, not just this one).
Then, I told them I was using the default, out of the box, [Windows] color scheme... and then they said, "oh," and fixed it.
Apparently, none of their staff was using the default color scheme...

I think that's true of most of us, at least some of the time. The trick is to be willing to see, though!
It also applies to proof-reading - so easy to read something 10 times yourself that you've written and not spot something that jumps out at another reader.
