I sometimes dream that I’m writing code. I’ll actually wake up, use the bathroom, go back to sleep and then resume coding. I wouldn’t mind it if the code was actually anything useful but it turns out that whatever it was I was working on has absolutely nothing to do with real life.

I don't nap. I sleep. Hard.
When it's lights out it's lights out. The best next thing that can happen is that I code a solution right after breakfast - usually between the alarm going off and 10 for me it's not morning, it's mourning... mourning the bed and the sleep.

I have some fairly good drugs that help me sleep, all part of my migraine prevention regimen. If I wake up in the middle of the night, it's best for me to just go back to bed. The most I'll do is read.
If I got up to work I'd never get back to sleep, and probably trigger a damned headache.
