I wrote this article:
WPF DataGrid with SharedSizeGroup columns property[^]
I thought I'd attached a zip file with example code, but it seems not. So I tried to edit the article, and I can't. I've tried many many times, yesterday and today, without success. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
This is the error I get:
"Article Submission Wizard"
"An error occurred while loading the article. Please refresh the page to retry."

Thank you, it works now. However, I am unable to insert a working link to the uploaded zip file, probably an error on my part. I clicked on the insert link into article arrow icon which pasted this text:
1166016/DataGridLayoutApp.7z
When I click on the link, it does not download the file.

This is now fixed. The site does not support the 7ZIP format, so I am using ZIP instead.

Reply notifications (mail and on top bar) are generated even when messages are put into moderation by the spam filter.
While the moderation is pending, the notification links will point the temporary post.
When messages has been rejected, the notification links will be not valid anymore and the corresponding forum is opened.
This might confuse user's receiving notifications.
If possible, the notifications should be only generated after messages has been reviewed and not rejected.

From work (using IE11), I can cut/paste into pretty much any edit box, EXCEPT the one you guys use in the article editor. I know it's related to some arbitrary DoD network security concern, but thought you guys should know. It's not a browser issue because from home, it works fine - with any browser I've tried (IE11, FF, Chrome, and Opera).

Both. It's probably got to do with what it uses to do what it does (some java/scripting thing the DoD doesn't trust). When I come up with a tip/article at work that I want to at least start, I have to actually type in the editor. That's not the way I like to do it - I type the article and embed source snippets in a HTML file using Visual Studio, and then copy/paste the whole thing in at once into the CP article editor, allowing me to get in and get out in less than a minute.
In today's case, I have three tips that kinda sorta depend on each other, so I can queue them all up at once, and all I have to do is paste the links to the others, and I'm done. As it sits, I have to put said html files into a ZIP, upload them to my upload area here, and when I get home, download them and post the articles. To say that's a bit of a pain in the ass is an understatement.
I just wanted to let y'all know that I can't paste from work (and didn't expect you to be able to do anything about it).
FWIW, one of the other guys here said he can't paste into FarceBook (probably using the same/similar editor techniques/library as CP's article editor).

Only seen this in QA and only when adding Solutions (although I don't paste a lot into comments). It also isn't every time - once I've managed to paste something into the solution once it seems to be ok.
Mainly seen in pasting links ... I see the "http://..." but as it converts to a hyperlink it becomes "tp://" (which is then not recognised as a link).
Have also seen it on Code Blocks ... sql "SELECT ..." becomes <pre>ELECT...

It happens to me in IE11 (at work) if I don't put two spaces on the line before pasting. I don't recall if this is also a problem at home (using FF).
I reported this a couple months back...

I changed my email for my codeproject account. Somewhere in the process I was told I would receive an email as part of the process. I never received any email. I am now logged in via G+. I want to get back to my original codeproject account.
I have tried logging in with both the old and new email addresses. No luck either way.

I guess the only place we have it currently is in as part of the actual submission wizard. They're pretty rare ...
"A Reference article is a short (typically 1 page) article used to lookup common information such as tables (eg. ASCII tables, HTTP codes etc) or function or class explanations. Typically there will be few if any images, and no downloadable code (though both are possible if the author wishes)"

I understand the fact that these discussions have been underwent here a lot of times before, but I really think that the solution is needed.
For example, when a question is closed due to any reporting reason, everything about that question is hidden as well, such as comments, solutions etc. Which is not an ideal case. Everything about that question is there, comments are there, solutions and comments to them are there as well. So why hide them only?
My simple proposal is, lock the thread for new solutions, but leave comments and solutions available. Lock the thread for further solutions, as long as the thread remains locked, but allow interactions in comments, or at least let the readers view comments etc so that they know why the post was locked.
Many posts are locked, yet they have some sense in them and a real world problem, only we cannot reproduce it here, so the post gets locked. I really think, this needs to be rectified as OP does not even get a chance to see any suggestion, any comment, and the thread gets locked away.

In my eyes the problem isn't that questions get closed. It's that the wrong questions are closed (or aren't closed).
A question that has no value, or is spam, abusive, contains inappropriate content or simply has no redeeming values should be closed and it should not be available to anyone. It's noise.
If a question truly has value then it can be reopened.

This can certainly happen, but if the specific problem came up again for someone then it would be posted as a new, and hopefully more reasonably phrased question.
