This article describes on how to integrate HockeyApp into your Android apps. The client allows testers to update your app to another beta version right from within the application. It will notify the tester if a new update is available. It also allows to send feedback and crash reports right from within the application. If a crash has happened, it will ask the tester on the next resume of the main activity whether he wants to send information about the crash to the server. The latter feature works for both beta apps and apps for Google Play.

In addition to HockeySDK, we also offer a native app for Android to download & install new apps, manage invites, and register the devices.

Look in the SDK Manager what is your highest Android SDK Build-tools version, and copy this version number in your project build.gradle file, in the android/buildToolsVersion property (for me, version was "18.1.1").

Open up this file in your project:

<Project>/gradle/wrapper/gradle-wrapper.properties

Edit the distributionUrl line and set it too:

distributionUrl=http\://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-1.8-all.zip

Rebuild your project.

Make sure you don't confuse the Gradle version with the Android plugin version. The former is the build system itself, the latter is the plugin to the build system that knows how to build Android projects

But when using the gradle plugin 0.7.+, Android Studio needs Gradle 1.8. So, you have to update Gradle from 1.7 to 1.8. This was done by going to Tools -> Android -> Sync Project with Gradle Files It forces Android Studio to give out Error message you see on http://tools.android.com/recent

If you are a developer, chances are you have already read a documentation created with Doxygen. Doxygen is a widespread tool to produce documentation from source code. We use it in KDE to document our C++ libraries on api.kde.org.
We use QML more and more within KDE, especially in the Plasma world: on the desktop, where many existing Plasma applets have already been rewritten in QML, and on touch devices with Plasma Active, which is 100% QML. To maintain consistency, we are building a set of reusable QML components, and those components need a good documentation

Unfortunately, Doxygen does not support QML out of the box. That is the reason why I created Doxyqml.

Doxyqml has been deployed on api.kde.org. It is currently used to document the QML Plasma components which are shipped with kde-runtime.
