Over the past couple of years, Microsoft has been building web projects to show off the power of the modern web. The idea is that with the right code, the line between offline and online application is quickly blurred as modern web standards allow impressive applications to be created and executed from within the web browser. To highlight many of their projects, Microsoft has created rethinkie.com "That's how it's gotta be now, 'cause I don't have the time for your over loaded lines. You better be good to me."

OK, old information, sorry.
However, it's still not a true Boolean type, in that you can still cast to and from other types -- I don't think that's a good idea.

I presume you're referring to the D Programming Language[^]? (i.e. the one authored by Walter), with its bool type?
Or are you off on some tangent of your own here?

Oh, did he finally add it? I stopped being interested in D when he said he wouldn't, back about ten years ago.

That's a way back, it's now around V2. The bool type has been around for quite a while - I first looked at D before V2, but after V1 (can't quite figure out when now).
An odd language though - I applaud the effort, but it doesn't seem to hit the right sweet spot to lure me away from managed code (for higher level tasks), or C++ (mid-level tasks) or (just occasionally) Assembler (when there's little choice).
I prefer C++'s philosophy wrt lifetime (RAII) over GC in low-level tasks. In many other respects though D offers a better experience than C++, many ideas from there are slowly migrating back to C++, but C++ is a bit too daunting nowadays - I suspect there's a handful of people in the world now who are really C++ experts, the rest of us program using some useful subset. I dread to think what its like for a newcomer.
