Does anyone knows a working example from Microsoft or other that demonstrates table/blob storage on Windows Azure that can be published on line via Windows Azure Portal??
Thanks a lot...

My searches find samples for working with blobs but I have no idea what connection your scenario has with the Portal that they might not address?

Hi Guys,
I was just wondering if it is possible that a php website can connect to a webservice created in .net3.5
Reason is that I create a webservice for a client, but the people who are going to be creating the front end/presentation layer is going to do it in php, will they be able to access and use the webservice or will only sites developed in .net be able to access the webservice?
Thanks in advance

A web service defines a contract for communication. The platform used to process that communication is irrelevant.

Yes, it is possible. Web services use xml for data communication and xml is a device and platform independent medium for data communication. Fundamentally it is possible but practically I cannot show you the code as I don't know PHP.

That's what I thought, just as long as I know that it is possible then how it is going to be implemented is going to be the php guys' responsibility, Thanks

I want to do the binding of a grid after the page it is contained is loaded and rendered completely. I want to delay its binding because the data source of the grid takes a long while to get populated.
I need the page to be rendered first and then an ajax progress(wait) image is to be made visible until the grid is bound and rendered.
Currently I am achieving this through triggering a hidden button's click() event via javascript that's written at the end of the body. The button's click function binds the grid. Both the button and grid are put inside Ajax update panel so, the waiting image also come's properly. Is there an easy(direct) alternative method rather than the way I am doing?

Thank's for replying
I am already achieving this functionality. In my page the grid should be bound with out any user action like a button click. I have explained already how I am achieving this. I am not sure whether this is the right way or not. I want to know whether this could be done without a second control to triger the binding

Use JavaScript's Window.SetTimeout() to set an interval to load the grid. Use _doPostBack() to create the postback using JavaScript. Call the method which you would like to use to bind the data. Check out my article:

I hope it can help a bit.

Sure this method works. But I wanted to know whether this could be done without a second control to trigger the postback?

Hi All,
can you tell me that how can we find cursor position or selected text in HTML editor?
There can be 3 possibilities:
1. We can find the position of cursor.
2. We can find the starting and Ending position of selected text.
3. We can find the complete selected text.
I have done 2nd and 3rd task for IE but could not succeeded for Firefox.
Plz help me to find out the solution that can work in both IE and Firefox.
Further, I will explain that I am creating rich text box editor in asp.net. So I am trying to find the cursor position in content window(html page) of iframe.
Thanx for any kind of help...
