I have two controls: a.ascx and b.ascx.
In b.ascx I have a gridview and function B that collects data from gridview and builds a datatable for return.
In a.ascx I have b.ascx and function A that calls function B from b.ascx.
On page (aspx) it calls the A function after button was pressed.
The problem:
When I'm checking the gridview in b.ascx it's empty despite of fact that I see the grid in explorer.
P.S.
When I'm using the b.ascx directly on page everything just fine.

How are you adding these controls to the page? Are they being added dynamically?

You need to drag and drop these controls from sol.n explorer as other controls.If needed you can define some properties and functions for the user controls.These controls can be called both dynamically and statically.

prob2 I think you can use template field to solve this, just put the text box in a template field
what do you mean by

i cannot add textbox the template column coz i need to add the texboxes for those columns which are generated by The query(in the sense Heading)
Prob 3: i need to dump the values into the database Table.. i needto insert all the datagrid items to the database table

 Strange ! Do you want to make the whole rows appear at the top of grid ?

Hi,
For prob1, I didn't quite understand your question. I'm not sure how you can make all the rows of the query output be the headings of the datagrid. While displaying the query results, it will be displayed in the query analyser with the headings. That you can bind to the dataset and thereafter to datagrid,so the headings will display. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
For prob 2, please try with the following code:
A) In the HTML window, add the following code inside the datagrid declaration:

I have a datagrid already binded with dataset. And i have two columns the first column contains Image and the second column contains a table . In the table i have two rows. And in particular column say 2nd row 2nd column i have to create number of linkbutton which i get from another query.
This is way i have done my codes. But i am not able to display Total number of linkbuttons .

Ya , i got it. But can u tell me is there any other Simple way .
