Printing Agweet18-Dec-07 1:00 Agweet 18-Dec-07 1:00  Hi, Can anyone help me, i have a table that i stated as a server control and i am trying to print but always shows me this error message: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message recieved from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled. Details: Error parsing near 'function win'. A custom control (containing Dropdownlist and a button) is used to open a popup form. Certain data would be saved from the popup form to database. When the popform is closed, using Close button or clicking the 'X' in IE, the dropdownlist in custom control has to be refreshed and data manipulated in popup form should be reflected in dropdownlist. But parent form should not postback, coz that would cause all validators to fire. I was told to add a dummy button (visible = false) in the custom control, and call its click event while the popup form is closed by my senior here. I don't understand how that would help, is there any alternative? As this is the feature of your custom control, you probably need to find the property that can disable this feature. If there is no option to disable then you probably need to find another custom control.. If you have the code of that custom control, I think you should take a look at unload event of that popup windows. there might be some code that make a refresh to the parent window... Basically I have a page that has a custom control with a button that opens a new page (popup window). During the closing of this popup, I want DropDownList in parent page to refresh so that it has updated data by making a new call to the database. The new page that is opened from the button in custom control is designed to add a new record to the database and the calling control should then automatically pull that new record. I have to achieve this without parent form posting back, coz this would fire all validators.. Is that possible somehow? Vertical Scrollbars on both sides of GridView??
