Hi ,
I had a project in version 1.1 and I have
migrated it to 2.0 using visual studio .NET 2005 but its throwing the
following script error in IE 6.0 only while selecting any value in drop down.
'event' is null or not an object.
In firefox, it is working fine.
I used DOM Validations for firing client side validations. This error is firing even before the drop down's selected index changed function is called.
Can anyone please help me out to solve this. is there any property or
setting i have to make for 2003 project to work in 2005?
Is it a bug in VS.NET or is there anything settings to be made?
kindly do help me guys.
Vikram

This is a question better asked in the ASP.NET library. It doesn't have anything to do with VB.NET.

No. ASP.NET 1.1 and ASP.NET 2.0 work very differently. These differences may be what's causing your problem, though I have little to no experience on the ASP.NET side.

Hi all,
Iam working on windows applicaiton in VS2003 and when iam putting anchor on a datagrid for example iam experiencing an unstability in width and heigh size of thew datagrid control.
Iam using a datagrid and when i put anchor on right, top and bottom i notice this issue. When i enter the design of the form again i need to adjust the width and height of the datagrid again. I find the width and height i fthe grid is bigger than the size of the form. I keep fixing it manullay and save. but when i enter the form design aagin i find it bigger. Iam faing this issue with button control also. I have a button with anchor top and right, the same issue happens when i enter the design later i cant see the button cause it takes a position out side the form.
Any help please it is really annoying.

If you haven't already, you may want to install Visual Studio .NET 2003 Service Pack 1[^] first.

How can we create mail Function (send mail) in window based
application.
Manu

this is a very simple way to do it (don't know if it will meet you expectations)
imports system.web.mail
...
Dim obj As SmtpMail ' Variable which will send the mail
Dim Mailmsg As New MailMessage()
obj.SmtpServer = "server:relay.skynet.be"
Mailmsg.To = "test@test.be" 'the email adress to send to
Mailmsg.From = "\" & (sender) & "\ <" & (sendermail) & ">" '(sender) = the name to be displayed || (sendermail) = a valid email adress from wich to send
Mailmsg.BodyFormat = MailFormat.Text
Mailmsg.Subject = "example"
Mailmsg.Body = "example body"
obj.Send(Mailmsg)
hope this helps

You have to add a reference System.Web and then add Imports System.Web.mail
HTH
|
|
|
|
|
like 'samerh' said
add a reference to system.web
you can find it on the '.net' tab or at 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\System.Web.dll'
If my help was helpfull let me know, if not let me know why.

You can't create a bitmap that way. You have to create a bitmap object passing in the byte array.

I guess posting some code would be a good start.
I also have an article on all the reasons that that namespace sucks, you should read it

OK, that's how it works. Have you considered using the Windows Media Player control instead ? That is just plain better.
Odds are you've just made a silly mistake ( like the control is not visible ), but I'd really suggest WMP is better, overall.
