We are looking forward - not really - a hot wave of 42+C (~108 F) this weekend...
What were you doing in that kind of heat?

In times like this owning a house near the woods is priceless.

I agree, although our Czech cabin in the woods that we rented lately had it's downsides, the temperatures were a lot more agreeable than the +30 degrees Celsius in the Netherlands

Sounds like a lot of distance in between the two places but that’s not a problem if you’re WFH obviously

I was there during my holiday, it was a long drive indeed from the Netherlands to the cabin south of Prague, but luckily we had no big traffic jams and the trip went smoothly.

My colleague is flying to Prague as I type this. Heh.

Well, there is nothing better than a refreshing Staropramen, Kozel or Radegast after a day in Prague
|
|
|

Personally, I think I would enjoy a long drive like that...

I actually live in the forest... Like the line of the trees is less than 6 meters from my front door

Why do they call it heat wave? What takes place matches a flood.

At this time of the year that would be a not so hot day in Texas and I would have adopted the lifestyle of a crocodile and spent most of the day in the pool.
I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats.
His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

all day in the pool, that’s a bit too much I think.
