This explosion, if I heard correctly, was probably caused by the methane in a confined space, either from the cows themselves or from the waste collection, I don't know.
Presumably a spark from some machinery set it off. I doubt it was anyone smoking, since I think only one person was injured, and they survived. If I recall correctly that is. I read about it yesterday.

We have to accept that either farmers are stupid and cow the population has increased dramatically in the past two years to make cow farts a bigger issue now, or that something else is going on. Cows have been farting for a while now. All these explosions are new. There is more than meets the eye going on, just from a sheer logical perspective.
As a side note, chickens are treated worse. I'm not a vegetarian by any means, but gluttony is a sin the west has been guilty of for a while now. Myself included. So while I do not think cow farts are the next atomic bomb the foolish media portrays, we most certainly should treat the animals better that we noms on.

If I had to guess, there's probably more cows packed into less space than there was in previous decades.
If that's the trend, and if it continues, the methane thing will certainly be a problem.

While cow population doesn't necessarily mean they weren't stuffed into smaller spaces, at least least a better metric to go on than the fake news or a guess. There's zero logical reason to do that without more cows existing, especially during the economic slowdown we've had in the past few years.
To reiterate; it's not cow farts. Most people are too scared to learn the truth. I only avoid flat-out saying what it is because it's the lounge. But to assume cow farts from being packed like sardines is to also assume farmers are stupid and couldn't figure out farts are bad after the first few explosions.

Except a single barn for that many would have had to have been 14 acres. Which nothing I found suggests barns are that big.

I don't know what the actual facilities look like, but if it was a bunch of separate buildings I could still see a chain reaction. 18,000 cows is a lot of burgers.

I believe I know the reason why, but that would be going too far down the rabbit hole for the lounge. My only hope is people will wake up and realize a trend is going on and then do the research themselves.

You're missing the point. This is why the Internet isn't fun any more. 
To repeat, I'm referring to the frequency of explosions. It's not like the population of cows tripled in the past year to cause cow farts to be more of an issue than they were 5 years ago.

Wonder what that actually means. Seems like it must mean multiple barns actually burned. Which leads one to wonder about the spread between them unless perhaps fuel of some sort was involved.
Actually my first thought was a single barn...
Normal room for a single cow is 35 square ft. That is 630,000 square feet for that number of cows. So that gives a single barn that would require 14+ acres.
Kind of hard to find the 'biggest' barn but I did find the largest horse barn in US which is 78,000 square ft.
An order of magnitude less.
So probably not a single barn.

Beck is an excellent beer.
Spend a lot of time in Germany back in the early 80's.
Beck was the beer of choice (that and Guinness) among my German colleagues.
I will see if I can find this latest version in US.

Only thing close to brewery in Houston Ship Channel area is Budweiser Brewery Experience.
Budweiser is an OK beer but yes mild and wet like cold water. Tastes fine on hot summer day of sweating.
Curiously when doing my German thing I had a visit to a Finnish restaurant. Excellent food like reindeer and such and their beer tasted like Bud light. I liked it. I suspect the best of US beer is not exported. There is a strong German/Czech tradition of beer making here in central TX. Shiner, the best.
Yes, finding the newest Beck might be hard, but you can never tell in US.

BYW, Anheuser-Busch has been making their version of Beck since 2012. Beck's parent company, Inbev, merged with Anheuser-Busch. supposedly the same formula with water rules and regs used by Germans is also used here. But German made Beck is still the best.
