Hi All,
Getting some new toys to play with, Phidgets, Phidgets Inc. - Products for USB Sensing and Control[^], they appear to be a method of interfacing to a PC via USB. The Visual Studio frame work appears to be not too confusing. I thinking this may be of interest to some, also the possibility of another article. It seems they solve the problem of how to attach hardware without a proper interface. Currently I have a load cell reading constantly monitoring my desk (which looks like an explosion in a hardware shop). It seem my mug falling over causes a bigger bang than dropping my pencil . Just like to know anyone heard of them (I only heard about them from an American) seem quite good, don't have VS installed here to check.

As of this writing, the link to phidgets.com points to this post.

Glad to know it wasn't just me.
Iβve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated.

Nope. Seem a bit pricy for what they do and adding another bus type (VNET I think they call it) doesn't seem appetizing. Me, I live with RPI's and Modbus over RS485.

Well, that my view, but they have been seen by higher ups on a company visit to our US partner and now...

But what do they use to feed the grass a healthy ammount of bull pucky?

They seem to be interesting little gadgets, I was thinking depending if I get a Version of Vis Studio there maybe an Artical.

I have edited your question so the link actually points to the correct place.

Yes. I used them to interface some USB input devices more than a decade ago. I was surprised dotnet didn't have a standard USB interface library at that time and we needed to move the dlls with the source code (we didn't have nuget or something). Not sure whether MS fixed that now.

Ahhh, I haven't used it in anger yet just had the load cell on the desk and got some readings off. Looking to use Visual Studio, but as is the way (Mandalorian reference, almost), I cannot seem to IT to install Vis Studio for me. Looking like I will have to bring 'em home to play. There appears to be a Dot Net frame work for them now, I wonder how it will go?

Will probably be posted at 08:30 or so (normal for me) but I've got a "sit-and-wait"* appointment at the dentist tomorrow at 09:00 so replies to solutions may be sporadic.
* I.e. no specific time, you turn up when they open and they fit you in when they can.
