Where the ONLY protocol is UDP?
Quote: TCP is connection oriented and reliable where as UDP is connection less and unreliable
I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated.
I’m begging you for the benefit of everyone, don’t be STUPID.

SafeBreach security researcher Alon Leviev has released his Windows Downdate tool, which can be used for downgrade attacks that reintroduce old vulnerabilities in up-to-date Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server systems. Lower shields. What's the worst that could happen?
Dog bless "Security researchers". And by 'bless', I mean, 'beat about the head and shoulders' (there's a nastier version of that a friend used to use, but it's not KSS).
Posting as I think there is a potential legitimate use for this - undoing those patches that don't deal well with your install.

At the very least, it makes it way easier to back off a patch in a test environ and prove out suspicions.

Zero-day that was exploited since June to infect ISPs finally gets fixed. Why hack individuals when you can get them in bulk?

Both the US and the EU have mandated a risk-based approach to AI development. Whatever your risk level, ultimately it’s all about transparency and security. You can't spell 'pain' without 'ai'
Yeesh. Don't tell me that I've got a new (ultra-lame) running gag? Reduce, reuse, recycle!

Quote: In the US, we’ve seen a new requirement that all US federal agencies have a chief AI officer and submit annual reports identifying all AI systems in use, any risks associated with them, and how they plan to mitigate those risks
1. Get federal chief AI officer job at small agency that nearly doesn't even use computers.
2. Relax
3. Retire

Though the abundance of repositories on GitHub that are forks of VS Code is undeniable, the new tools in the market are making VS Code struggle. "Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded."
So they're uninstalling it for a *fork* of it. Yes, what a horrid program. :eyeroll:
I mostly agree with that Google engineer though - it is one of the more important products they've put out (I'd still put it behind Excel in overall importance to businesses though)

It's important because it shepherds new developers into the fold. You can't spell developers, developers, developers without developers.
I'm not sure why not just paywall VS features and trim to a "VS light" skin/default layout though?
Also, I freakin' love Yogi Berra (too crowded):
A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.
The future ain't what it used to be.
When you come to a fork in the road, take it.

I feel like the world would benefit from a consortium of something like the UN building its own enrichment facilities to sell/donate fuel to the world at large.
It's my understanding that if you want fuel it's a slightly different animal than if you want a bomb. Part of nonproliferation would seem to be controlling enrichment itself. "Taxing" nuclear armed nations in the form of having them fund global cooperative fuel enrichment doesn't seem like the worst of ideas.

The UN is a club for sanctimonious authoritarians and kleptocrats who exempt themselves from taxes that others must pay.

LAD logic the last one without even a mark? That's not what I see in the industry and Siemens is still a very big company and writing black numbers.
