Researchers discovered a vulnerability in Microsoft’s Azure platform that allowed users to access private data from Office 365 applications like Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive. Good thing no one uses that
And better that it got fixed (hopefully)

Cloud based services, more like "publicly accessible data".

Given Microsoft's LONG ILLUSTRIOUS HISTORY of crappy privacy & security in their operating systems and apps I find it truly remarkable that their PR people were able to convince anybody that they can be trusted in the cloud.

Microsoft is “exploring” putting ads in the responses given by Bing Chat, its new search agent powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4. Before I show you your results, here are these seven unskippable commercials about the subject

So... now that they were able to win a bit market share from google, they shoot themselves in the foot with a cannon?

The rise in generative AI tools like ChatGPT has created a hot market for "prompt engineers." That prompts me to say a few words (none of which I can print here)

HI (Human Intelligence) prompt engineer pays far less and provides far more frustration.
I often write up an email that explains the issue or prompts a human for input but I get nothing in return.

I wonder how big are going to be the first sues to products done by them (both, prompt "eng." and "ai")

In April, Microsoft will issue a cumulative update for Windows 11 version 22H2 that adds a few minor new features. But you don’t need to wait: you can download the preview version of this update now. Try them before everyone else finds the bugs!

The company is launching AlloyDB Omni, a downloadable edition of AlloyDB that its users can install on premises, at the edge or on their laptops. If you don't, you know what they'll do to it (I jest, they'll probably do that anyway)
I wonder if there's some other "PostgreSQL-compatible database" out there available for download... ???

It's a real Crysis.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Windows 7 still runs on more Steam PCs than every version of Linux combined. That should get everyone to upgrade!

I suppose it is the time to get an image and block steam client updates...
Disclaimer: I don't play in win 7

What they were able to do is find a way to prove the Pythagorean Theorem using trigonometry without circular logic - something mathematicians have been trying to do for nearly 2,000 years. I guess someone should have asked them a while back

Kudos to them.
