biological Dunning-Kruger posts tend to also have broken grammar, bad spelling, be 1 or 2 lines of code with no explanation, just be a link to some random site, or some combination of the prior. Most of them can be shovelled into the delete pile with a few seconds of examination even if it's not a language I'm familiar with. GPT's 🐂💩 is the much rarer sort of bad answer that's written at least half-decently and is subtlety wrong.

For the moment at least, it's consistent way of describing the question it's trying to answer at the start of it's output at least means there's an obvious tell for human reviewers trying to enforce the ban. But that requires the reviewer to be aware of the issue and paying attention; and while theoretically a good target for automation, SO's management doesn't want to be bothered doing it themselves, are are stubbornly opposed to allowing fully automatic user tools to run. Which results in grotesque things like the main anti-spam detection system being a 3rd party bot that posts messages it finds in a chatroom for people to manually confirm is spam and delete. Since it started running a few years ago most spam has basically stopped ever lasting long enough to be seen by normal users; but it's still bottlenecked behind user action and not direct API access. D'Oh! |
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
