The computer scientist regarded as the “godfather of artificial intelligence” says the government will have to establish a universal basic income to deal with the impact of AI on inequality. "The best things in life are free, but you can give them to the birds and bees. I want money"

You can learn a lot about programming from AI assistants. Take advantage of these tips and techniques to improve your experience. Hey AI: show me how you're going to replace me

Can we make AI replace the CEOs of some companies? Please?

Can you drive an AI crazy by having them create a recursive function using only pointers, pointers to pointers, pointers to pointers to pointers, etc...?

Just ask them to play Tic-Tac-Toe
If we are lucky, they will switch off themselves

Microsoft’s groundbreaking new AI-powered tool can search and recall anything you’ve seen or done on your PC like a personal historian. Now your computer will never forget, never forgive

Slack reveals it has been training AI/ML models on customer data, including messages, files and usage information. It’s opt-in by default. Now the AIs will be going on and on about how awful work is, while playing online games

Here's hoping someone at Microsoft will send this to the European Commission as this is a blatant violation of GDPR. Slack/SalesForce has sued Microsoft in the EC over Teams and this could easily be used to return the favor.

Using a virtual machine, Parker set up a Windows XP instance and configured it to be fully exposed with no firewall and no anti-virus software, just like the good old days. So, just like Windows 11?

This guy must have set up a Windows XP RTM system. XP SP2 and SP3 automatically turned on the firewall during installation and the XP ISOs I have have SP3 embedded.
Bottom line, don't let some "gamer" configure your system.

Probably. I couldn't be convinced to watch the YouTube video to find out. There probably weren't any cats in the video.

I know there weren't any cats in the video. They would have been smarter and used an XP ISO that contains SP2 or 3 built in.

Very true. I was just saying that I had little interest in watching the video to see if they were smart enough to do that. Personally, I doubt it, and the results seem to agree with that conclusion.

That's what I thought as well. Maybe there was a change that dropped some of the messages? Or the forum got renamed or something?

Some of the messages?
Based on the message ID, I'd guess around 4,652,136 of the blighters!

OK, so I finally read the article and I've seen this as well, even on YouTube. I tried to find the CSPAN video of Tory Bruno (CEO of ULA) sitting in front of a Congressional committee and telling them that SpaceX's plan to build reusable rockets would never work, and that if it did, would never be economically viable.
