Oh how I do miss the Daily News. My coffee just isn't the same.
Thank you for this small portion!

I missed it a lot, too.
Thanks

Has there been an official explanation for why the news email is no longer being sent?

I only see advertisement from here, no real easy explanation

Basically, there is nothing there.
Sabine does cover herself by stipulating that the people who work in those companies believe that one day, there will be something there, but for the venture capitalists this appears to be a "pump and dump" operation.

AI is truly advancing by leaps and bounds. I can now use thousands of dollars of hardware to duplicate what people have been able to do for thousands of years with a sheet of bark/paper/papyrus/vellum/ and a bit of ink.

I would say that is quite an advance, to be able to do anything that people can do.

Ok, granted... depending on which people that's not really difficult

While I share the same outlook on 'AI' (it's LLM for 's sake) I would urge you to consider what thousands of dollars of hardware could do in 1996 versus what a $300 smartphone can do now.

Yes, is Kent on vacation?

I bet Kent is taking a vacation/holiday/PTO. Not that we like it but I'm sure it's part of his compensation package.
I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated.
I’m begging you for the benefit of everyone, don’t be STUPID.

Hope this is just a vacation and not a suspension! Many of us look forward to the great content contained in the Insider newsletter each day.
