I have been using the beta for several iterations of the EAP releases. It's excellent, and ... surprise ... can access a broader range of content and higher level C# features than expected.

imho, already mainstream because useful !
Ethics and the usual "concerns" will not stop its momentum ... however, the form in which end users will experience it ... be aware of it ... of the Ai's presence, as they use it, will very greatly.
Devs may use it directly ... oh joy ! ... mere mortals may just enjoy the coffee, forgetting it came from a brewer somewhere, using beans they never selected.

Although I totally agree that windows is really trying hard to piss everyone off, I still don't see it in danger. Corporations and public institutions are not going to start installing linux (too complex), let alone having google OS (too public) or Apple (too expensive).

The fact that you have to use a third party to do this for Apple is why Apple won't take over the corporate world. Microsoft provides these tools. Yes, there are third party tools for Microsoft's ecosystem but unlike Apple they aren't required for corporate IT.
